a little about me

I was born and raised in Ethiopia, where my passion for learning and technology first took root. My academic journey has been shaped by opportunities I’m deeply grateful for—starting with a 100% merit-based scholarship to attend Lebawi International Academy for four transformative years. This experience not only broadened my horizons but also sparked my curiosity for problem-solving and innovation. Later, I was fortunate to receive another full scholarship to New York University, where I currently study as a junior pursuing a degree in Computer Science with a minor in Applied Mathematics.

My love for programming began in 2018 as a hobby, but it quickly evolved into a driving passion. One of my early projects—a library management system—streamlined resource access for over 300 students. Another project, a wallpaper and history app, received positive feedback from peers, further fueling my excitement for building solutions that resonate with users.

Currently, I’m honing my skills through rigorous coursework in algorithms, data structures, machine learning, and data analysis, complemented by advanced math courses like multivariate calculus and linear algebra. These experiences have strengthened my analytical abilities and prepared me to tackle complex challenges.

Looking ahead, I’m eager to join a leading tech company or a renowned research institute where I can apply my skills to develop meaningful, real-world solutions.
